Sunset in Amsterdam

I don’t know why, but I decided after a long flight to go out to Amsterdam, Netherland. It was a chilly day, and none of us had appropriate clothes to battle the chills. It was funny to watch a group of seven people going out shivering, and if you wore close enough, you could hear actually the teeth chattering!

We were a group of diverse ethnicities, but we all had a common goal to see Amsterdam and have a good meal and freeze to death; no not really. We strolled around the beautiful streets, laughing out loud and capturing the moments in our cameras.
We decided to eat first so our stomach grumblings do not accompany the teeth chattering.
After our big meal, the sweet smell of desserts from the street vendors was pulling us to it and driving us crazy!

Also, what is visiting Amsterdam if you don’t go to the Red Light District? It is where being and escort is legal. We walked around and saw the ... shops that displayed all sorts of toys. Nobody was shy anymore. We all went in and started browsing through the toys and asking silly questions, because some toys we didn’t know the use of.

We saw women waiting for clients in showcases. They were not necessarily beautiful and young. Some were so ugly, that the worst nightmare will not be as scary! Some were so “slim” that they needed it two chairs instead of one. I could tell they hardly had any clients that day because they were calling people out desperately. But there was something for every taste and everyone’s budget.

While walking around, not with a purpose really, we entered an almost empty darker alley. There were many girls on display in the alley. We noticed something different about the women in this backstreet. Our friend, Ahmed, went closer to the display out of curiosity to check out the pageant. He couldn’t believe they were actually boys! All of the sudden, behind him, a strong deep masculine voice whispers: “its okay sweetheart, come and try, I promise you will like it.”

We all burst out in a hysterical laugh; we couldn’t feel the cold anymore. We were laughing all the way to the hotel, making fun of Ahmed and what kind of adventure and one of a kind experience he could have had with the lady boy.
